A Guide for Haitians in Immigration Detention (University of Miami)

How to ask U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E) to release you from detention and allow you to stay in the U.S. until Post-Earthquake conditions in Haiti improve

This packet was created by University of Miami School of Law Immigration Clinic students Eric Baum, Morgan France-Ramirez, and Kathleen Schulman.  It is designed to provide guidance to Haitian nationals on requesting deferred action or release from detention pursuant to ICE’s Policy on Resumed Removals to Haiti.  That policy is dated April 1, 2011 and is found at the end of the packet.
