September 30th, there was a successful demonstration in front of United Nations headquarters in solidarity with Haiti’s cholera victims. This press release describes the demonstration and why it’s crucial that we continue fighting for justice and UN accountability.

Freehold, NJ – The Haitian-American Leadership Council [HALEC] is pleased to inform the public that the “Picket Line In Support of the Cholera Victims of Haiti” held on Friday, September 26, 2014, in front of the United Nations building at the Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, located at 47th Street and 1st Avenue, in Manhattan, NY was successful. The community responded in large number. People as far as Atlanta, GA, Boston, MA, Norwalk, CT, Philadelphia, PA, Freehold, NJ and Fort-Lauderdale, FL took part in the rally.
