Job Opportunities

IJDH is seeking a dynamic and creative Development Coordinator to lead efforts to raise the resources that IJDH and its sister organization, the Bureau des Avocats Internationaux (BAI), need to support Haitians fighting for their democracy and human rights. The Development Coordinator will help the BAI and IJDH rise to the challenges posed by Haiti’s crises by coordinating and increasing the organizations’ fundraising efforts. Deadline to apply: We will consider applications on a rolling basis as they arrive. Our goal is to have the new Coordinator begin in November.

Internship Opportunities

IJDH is seeking dynamic law student interns to help Haitians reclaim their democracy against internal repression and external interference. The profound challenges Haiti is currently facing – including gang violence, hunger, and closed hospitals and schools – are symptoms of a deeper crisis, one that we need interns to help us confront: decades of problematic foreign policies that have robbed Haiti of its resources alongside a Haitian government that has persistently dismantled the country’s democracy with the support of the U.S. government. Interns are fully integrated into our legal team and work alongside us in a fast-paced, creative, and exciting environment. They work across the full range of IJDH’s activities, including real-time advocacy in response to Haiti’s current crisis. Deadline to apply: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Volunteer Opportunities

Are you fluent in French and/or Kreyol? IJDH needs you. We have a great need for people who can translate both from French and/or Kreyol into English, and vice versa. Some knowledge of and/or familiarity with legal terms is helpful for many documents, but not all. If you have experience translating and are readily available by email, please CONTACT US.
