Haitian President Rene Preval Says Country Remains “In Constant Danger” as Operations Underway to Move Makeshift Camps

Trans World News Almost three months after Haiti was left devastated by an earthquake that killed more than 200,000 people and left much of the country in ruins President Rene Preval has said the nation remains in constant danger.” That danger could be fast approaching as the rainy season is nearing and many of the one million people left homeless from the quake remain in makeshift camps that could be severely damaged by mudslides or floods. There has been a major push to relocate several of the people living in camps at a golf course but there has been a lot of criticism directed at Preval and the government for not doing enough to find safer locations sooner.
