Join IJDH and Allies for an Advocacy Day Briefing on Thursday, October 21

Join Institute for Justice and Democracy in Haiti (IJDH) and our allies for an online Advocacy Day Briefing: Disentangling Discourses of Disaster on Thursday, October 21, from 3 to 5 PM EDT.

At the briefing, hear from panelists as they contextualize the current situation on the ground, including following the recent earthquake and amid mass expulsions of Haitian migrants at the US-Mexico border. They will discuss advancing a Haitian solution to the country’s crises during a time when international aid remains critical.

Panelists will include Angeline Annesteus of Action Aid, Jean Claudy Aristil of Radyo Ayiti Egalite and Okay, Ted St. Dic of the Commission in Search of a Haitian Solution to the Crisis, and Guerline Jozef of Haitian Bridge Alliance.

This event is co-sponsored by IJDH, Haitian Studies Association (HSA), American Jewish World Service (AJWS), the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University, Haiti Advocacy Working Group (HAWG), Haiti Response Coalition (HRC), and the North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA).
