In a letter ahead of the two-year anniversary of the Title 42 policy, IJDH, alongside over 300 organizations, called on President Biden and Vice President Harris to “immediately end the Title 42 policy,” which has been used to expel Haitians and other migrants. We further called on the Administration to “stop defending this illegal and inhumane policy in court, restore meaningful access to asylum at U.S. borders, and welcome with dignity the families and individuals seeking protection in the United States,” respecting refugees’ rights and refugee law.
