Tell President Trump to Extend TPS for 58,000 Haitians NOW

DKPb7yJW4AI_ROL

President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security will decide by November 23 whether to end Haiti’s Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation or extend it. Relentless advocacy by IJDH and allies staved off termination in May. We are working even harder for a new18-month extension. But we need your help. The lives of 58,000 Haitians and their families including US-born children are at stake. Here’s what you can do: first, endorse this letter now circulating nationwide (please fill out this simple form ASAP). Second, convince your local city councilor, county commissioner, and/or state legislator to adapt, introduce and pass this resolution urging President Trump to extend Haiti’s TPS designation for 18 months. As in the Spring, IJDH efforts are in high gear —recent support generated includes resolutions by the Broward County Commission, the City of North Miami, the US Conference of Mayors, letters from 10 members from the Florida Congressional Delegation and Senator Bill Nelson.
